Why does Maine need a green publication?
The “green” market is one that lacks an authoritative and comprehensive resource to cover the vast amount of valuable information critical to the future of our citizens. Maine Green Advantage plans to host seminars for the benefit of positioning Maine as the most “green” state in these United States.
MGA will be the resource and portal for all things green. As a beautiful, high quality, informative magazine with a stimulating companion website, MGA will include everything from lifestyle ideas and health tips, to issues of recycling, sustainability, and renewable and efficient uses of energy. We will cover transportation, agriculture, aquaculture, land management issues and best practices that apply to interactions with our environment.
MGA will be published six times a year and will provide advertising opportunities for the energy sector, the agricultural and natural resource industry including forest products, and other natural resource and sea based businesses. Focus will also be given to the important areas of health and fitness, real estate, transportation, construction, home furnishings and tourism. A wide variety of outdoor recreation businesses and environmental groups will find our audience an attractive one.
At launch, Maine Green Advantage will print 10,000 copies with programmed distribution to 5,000 medium-to-high income home owners that have been identified as “our niche audience”. Approximately 2,000 like-minded business and organization owners, executives and “influentials” will be targeted and an additional 2,000 copies will be distributed to select waiting rooms (for high impression readership) and 1,000 copies for distribution at news stands and book stores. We plan to promote subscriptions with the goal of publishing 25,000 copies per issue by the end of year two.
